This is the first Information Security (IS) Conference aimed at the Higher Education Sector and organised by the eight member institutions of the Joint Universities Computer Centre (JUCC).  The theme of the conference is “Information Security Challenge in Today’s Higher Education Community” with the purpose to connect Senior Management, Executives, IT Professionals and others from across the Higher Education Community.    The Conference aims to raise awareness of the increasing security challenges facing the Sector and improve the capabilities of the Higher Education Community to protect information assets against the changing security threat vectors.

Prominent speakers and experts, from the government sector, tertiary sector, and the information security industry, had agreed to speak at the Conference and share with us their knowledge and experience on information security.  You can find out more details of the Programme by clicking here.

Who should attend?

The two days JUCC’s IS Conference on 19-20 May 2010 has two different major focuses: 

  • The Management Stream on the first day of IS Conference (19 May 2010) targets Chancellors, Vice-Chancellors, Directors of Administrative Unit, CIOs, CTOs, Directors of IT, IT Executives and IT Professionals, etc. 
  • The Technical Stream on the second day of IS Conference (20 May 2010) targets CIOs, CTOs, Directors of IT, IT Executives, System Architects, Network Administrator, System Administrators, Application Developers, etc.
